3 Lashkar Terrorists Killed, Army Officer Injured In Gunbattle In South Kashmir’s Pulwama
Security forces killed three terrorists from Lashkar-e-Taiba today at a meeting in the Pulwama district of southern Kashmir. An army officer was also injured during the operation of six.
The meeting began Wednesday in the Kakapora area in Pulwama. There were intelligence entries that three local men who joined the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist group were locked up in a house in a densely populated town.
The three terrorists were identified as Majid Mir Ahmad Shriq and Irshad Ahmad. One of them, Majid Dar, was involved in a series of murders, including the Kakapora sarpanch and Pulwama’s President district.
Searches are activated in the area, but the termination is over, a state police spokesman said on the IANS news agency.
While the meeting was in Pulwama on two Hizbul Mujahideen terrorists were killed in the town of Sopore in the Baramulla district in north Kashmir.
Two AK rifles, five magazines, 124 rounds, a hand grenade and a bag were found on the dating site, a police official said.
Meeting in Pulwama is the first successful counter-operation uprising in the region, which is allegedly a large presence of local terrorists aided by a strong earth network over workers, he said.
It is also a Lashkar coup, which lost one of its top leaders, Junaid Mattoo June 17 Mattoo died during a meeting in the village of Arwin in Anantnag, South Kashmir.
The terrorist had been involved in several attacks against security forces in South Kashmir. Two other people were killed in a joint operation of the security forces.
This is the second successful operation against the celebration of terror within three days.
